Ergotron’s WorkFit-C Dual Impressions and Thoughts

I have owned an Ergotron DS100 dual monitor stand since late 2009 and have used it at every desk I have had. Earlier this year, I started thinking about buying another DS100 but instead getting the double stacked model. I then discovered the WorkFit models and these are some thoughts on the WorkFit-C Dual model.

Deal Alert: Intel Core i7 2600 and i7 2600K

This afternoon at Amazon.com, the quad-core Intel Core i7 2600 3.4GHz processor with 8MB of cache, Hyper Threading, and Turbo Boost dropped in price to the best price we have seen. This is Intel’s top Sandy Bridge desktop processor except for the Intel Core i7 2600K which adds Intel HD Graphics 3000 and an unlocked multiplier. Both processors are at the best prices we have seen.

MacBook Pro Speed, Graphics, and Storage Upgraded

Today, Apple silently upgraded processors, graphics cards, and storage options in its MacBook Pro lineup. The improvements are fairly minor and represent incremental upgrades to the lineup based on additional processor releases from Intel. The upgrades cover the 13-inch, 15-inch, and 17-inch models.

iOS 5 Released for Apple TV

Along with the release of iOS 5 for mobile devices, Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 update, and iTunes 10.5, Apple has also released Apple TV Software Update 4.4 (based on iOS 5) which also includes new features for the 2nd generation Apple TV.

iOS 5 Released with iMessage, iCloud, Twitter, Notification Center, and More

Apple has released the newest version of the iOS operating system in the form of iOS 5.0. This release adds an impressive number of new features including iMessage, iCloud compatibility, Twitter integration at the system level, the vastly improved Notification Center, Safari with Reading List, Newsstand, improved Mail support, and more. This is the most significant release of iOS yet.
